To our Valued Investors,
Our President Artemio A. Tanchoco, Jr., otherwise known as “Sir Toti” to his subordinates in CAMCI and the entire Cocolife Group, has joined the loving grace of the Lord last March 29, 2021. As we lift this tribute, we would like you to join us in commemorating the life of our dear Sir Toti.
He was principally known for his role as President of Cocolife Asset Management Company, Inc. from 2003 to 2021. Concurrently, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of COCOLIFE since 1984. Having served the Cocolife Group for great years, he was able to pioneer and establish funds that are now being enjoyed by the country.
He has committed his heart to lead the way to meet the standards of the Financial Investment Industry and the satisfaction as well as the happiness of our valued investors.
Among his many achievements include incorporating the investment company and all three mutual funds. Under his helm, these three mutual funds were consistently recipients of awards from the Philippine Investment Funds Association (PIFA) and the international Award-giving bodies Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund and International Finance. Indeed, he was a leader. But many do not know how much of a father and friend he was to his subordinates, colleagues, and partners. Having established a father figure in the company, Sir Toti has been the leader he was meant to be.
Now that our President is no longer with us, we still aim to show leadership, even if the hour seems very dark. We pledge to enliven his legacy by continuously innovating our funds as he wishes us to. If there is one great thing we learned from our President, it has to be that Leadership is not about being brave, or inappropriately, unfailingly cheerful. It is about holding onto the fundamentals, looking over the horizon and what is there to be, as well as helping others to be strong.
We lost another great leader committed to leading the way and serving the country with innovative financial services, but we didn’t lose our way. He has taught everyone how to survive and remain competitive in this industry. Lest we forget the lessons and he, himself.
Very truly yours,
CAMCI Management
